Job summary

Fraser Health is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join the Emergency Department in Abbotsford, BC. You will provide direct patient care, assess needs, and collaborate with an interprofessional care team to deliver safe, evidence-based nursing across the patient continuum.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an approved School of Nursing with current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
• Completion of applicable post graduate course work in emergency, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience in emergency.

Responsibilities

• Assesses patients and collects information from a variety of sources using skills of observation, communication, data review and physical assessment.
• Plans, performs and evaluates nursing interventions and care.
• Collaborates with patients and their families in developing the care plan and encourages family participation in the development, implementation and ongoing modification of the care plan.
