Job summary

A respected Canadian aerospace organization is looking for an EMC Engineering Delegate in Mississauga or Calgary. The ideal candidate will support compliance activities related to electromagnetic compatibility (EMC), ensure aircraft systems meet certification requirements, and act as a delegated authority for EMC compliance. Applicants should have a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and 8-10+ years of relevant experience. This role offers the chance to work on world-class aircraft programs.

Qualifications

  • 8–10+ years of EMC engineering experience in aerospace.
  • Must hold or be eligible for Transport Canada DAD or DAR delegation in EMC.
  • Strong knowledge of EMC principles and applicable regulatory standards.

  • Acting as a delegated authority for EMC compliance activities.

Now Hiring: EMC Engineering Delegate (DAD/DAR)

Mississauga, ON or Calgary, AB

We are looking for an experienced EMC Engineering Delegate (DAD/DAR) to join the team.

In this role, you will be responsible for supporting and approving compliance activities related to electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) under delegated authority, ensuring aircraft systems meet applicable airworthiness and certification requirements. This includes areas such as EMI, HIRF, lightning, and ESD, while working closely with engineering teams, regulators, and certification stakeholders.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Acting as a delegated authority for EMC compliance activities
  • Reviewing and approving certification documents, test reports, and analyses
  • Supporting compliance demonstration, validation, and conformity assessments
  • Providing guidance on EMC-related certification requirements
  • Interfacing with Transport Canada and other regulatory authorities
  • Supporting engineering changes, repairs, and continued airworthiness activities
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
  • 8–10+ years of EMC engineering experience in aerospace
  • Must hold, or be eligible to obtain, Transport Canada DAD or DAR delegation in EMC
  • Strong knowledge of aircraft certification, EMC principles, and applicable regulatory standards
