Job summary

Texas Instruments Canada seeks a Software Engineer to join its Toronto team, working on embedded processing software tools and desktop/cloud tooling. You will start in TI’s CAP, receiving hands-on training to accelerate your ramp and long‑term career success.

As part of the Embedded Processing Software Engineering Tools group, you will contribute to foundational software processes, desktop app development, and SDK tooling while collaborating across functions in a large multinational environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum BS degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Electrical Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field
• Minimum Cumulative 3.0/4.0 GPA
• Programming experience in TypeScript, JavaScript, React, HTML and CSS
• Strong interpersonal, analytical and problem‑solving skills
• Ability to work in teams and collaborate effectively with people in different functions
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to take the initiative and drive for results
• Ability to establish strong relationships with key stakeholders critical to success, both internally and externally
• Ability to quickly ramp on new systems and processes
• Strong time management skills that enable on‑time project delivery
• Knowledge and experience working in Windows, Linux and macOS environments would be useful
• Interest and familiarity with computer architecture and embedded software development

Responsibilities

• Participate in the Career Accelerator Program (CAP) and gain professional and technical training
• Gain knowledge of desktop application software development of a complex, multi-layer system
• Developing and deploying desktop and cloud based embedded tooling
