Job summary

Vaderstad is seeking an embedded software developer to advance the control system software for our farming equipment. You will focus on product design improvements, user experience, and close collaboration with product teams and remote developers.

The role involves GUI development for embedded systems, integration testing, and solving multi-module issues. A degree in CS/SE and 5 years of experience are preferred, with a fast-paced, innovative environment and strong teamwork.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• 5 years of experience preferred.
• Experience building and integrating APIs.
• Proficient with CANBUS, J1939, ISO11783, TCP/IP, Wi‑Fi, Bluetooth.
• Experience with microcontrollers or other processors.
• Design and develop GUIs for embedded systems.
• Ability to perform unit, integration, and system testing (emulators, debuggers, HIL, simulations).
• Strong collaboration and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop embedded software for control systems on farming equipment.
• Troubleshoot and perform root cause analysis of issues across modules.
• Build simulators/emulators to aid development and testing.
• Review code and documentation across Product Development Lifecycle.
