Job summary

A leading multinational engineering firm in Laval, QC is seeking an Embedded Software Designer to collaborate within a dynamic team on MineStar® onboard applications. The role requires knowledge in C++ and Python programming for mining machines involving high-precision GNSS and IoT functionalities. Ideal candidates are skilled in problem solving, have software development lifecycle knowledge, and excellent communication in English and French. The position involves working onsite five days a week, supporting innovation in sustainable engineering practices.

Qualifications

• Skilled in C++ and Python programming languages, with experience in developing and debugging software applications using these languages.
• Knowledge of the software development life cycle and structured methodologies.
• Familiarity with Agile or SAFe methodology.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with customers and System Architects to analyze and define requirements.
• Design, implement, and test software modules according to requirement specifications.
• Participate in writing and reviewing all engineering documentation.
