Job summary

HireTalent - Staffing & Recruiting Firm is seeking a Sr. System Test Engineer in Canada to lead control system testing and automation initiatives. You will develop test cases, analyze requirements, and contribute to scalable automation frameworks across multiple test areas.

The role requires 7+ years in test automation and LabVIEW, strong programming fundamentals, and excellent communication skills in a collaborative Agile environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent with concentration in software; or equivalent knowledge in Embedded Software Engineering and control Systems.
• 7+ years of experience in test automation and control system testing.
• 7+ years of experience with LabVIEW.
• Experience with common programming languages.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct Control System testing, including test case development and implementation.
• Conduct requirements analysis, test coverage, and traceability.
• Perform test automation investigations, reporting on problems encountered and documenting results for follow-up.

Job description

• The Sr. System Test Engineer will be responsible for testing our client control system solutions. This position is involved in all phases of a product lifecycle: requirements gathering, embedded software design, implementation, and maintenance. The deliverables from this ongoing project are a highly adaptable, sustainable automation infrastructure capable of supporting numerous test areas.
• The candidate will be required to develop and implement testing for our client's Control System components. The candidate will identify and implement test automation. Additionally, maintaining and enhance existing automation frameworks.
