School District #8 (Kootenay Lake) has a vacancy for a .27FTE Prep teacher at South Nelson Elementary School in Nelson, B.C. to join our team of professionals in delivering a quality educational program to our students.

This position will include teaching ADST and French and possibly other prep subjects, as needed. The ideal candidate will have recent demonstrated successful experience working in a multi-graded environment, collaborating with school staff, and teaching these subjects.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Bachelor of Education with elementary classroom experience.
• Valid BC teaching certificate through the BC Ministry of Education, Teacher Regulation Branch.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement ADST and French curricula.
• Collaborate with colleagues and communicate effectively with staff and parents.
• Be familiar with the BC Ed Plan and district goals; implement school-wide strategies.
• Use data to inform decisions and support diverse learner needs.
