Oxford Learning Waterloo Eastbridge in Waterloo, Ontario is seeking a part-time elementary teacher-tutor to support after-school and evening sessions. The role is in-person at 370 Eastbridge Blvd, with option to teach online and in-person, and includes completing notes and daily updates for student progress.

Applicants should have a Bachelor’s degree or certification; tutoring experience is a plus, and teaching certification is valuable. Relocation is not offered.

Part-Time Elementary Teacher/Tutor Wanted

Passionate about puns? Excited by literature? Eager to help elementary students succeed in all subjects [English / French]?

We are currently seeking part-time teacher-tutors for a role in our learning centre at Oxford Learning Waterloo EastbridgeThis position is perfect for anyone who loves working with students, enjoys teaching the ins and outs of language and social studies and is passionate about helping others build their skills inthese areas. Our hours count! Gain valuable teaching experience!

Position Requirements

All Teacher-Tutors at Oxford Learning work during after-school and evening hours Mon - Thur (3:00pm - 8:00pm) as well as Saturday mornings(9:30am - 12:30pm). A commitment until the end of theschool yearis preferred. Continuing through the summer is even better. Your students will love working with you, and being reliable is a must.

This role is in-person. You must be able to commute to this location. This is not an online position. Relocation packages are not available.

Vulnerable sector screening is mandatory.

Education

• Bachelor’s degree or similar certification in a relevant field
• Thirdyear university students with tutoring experience will be considered
• Teaching certification an asset
• Good knowledge of the current Grade 1to Grade 8 curriculum

Experience

• Some experience teaching/tutoring at a Grade 1to Grade 9 (or equivalent) level
• Strong English written and oral communication skills and ability to guide students' understanding
• Ability to multitask and balance working with up to three students at a time
