We are currently hiring for multiple teaching positions at all three of our campuses in Grades 5 through 12.

POSITIONS: Hiring multiple positions for specialists in: Science, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Math, English, Social Studies, Computer Science, Phys. Ed, Music, OR French

Job Details

These are probationary positions with the opportunity to become continuous, based on evaluations. The successful candidates will be a specialist in at least ONE of the above fields. Class sizes range from 24-28 students and campuses range from 250-850 students.

As part of a dynamic and growing team, successful applicants will:

  • Deliver engaging, structured lessons aligned with AACS’s direct instruction model and a strong emphasis on academic rigour.
  • Exhibit excellent classroom management skills by creating a structured learning environment that fosters student confidence, accountability, and high achievement.
  • Integrate Indigenous perspectives into teaching and classroom practice in meaningful ways.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure continuity of instruction, contribute to school-wide initiatives, and uphold shared expectations.
  • Build positive relationships with students and families, promoting a safe, respectful, and inclusive classroom.
  • Embrace and model the school’s core values.

General Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Education Degree from an accredited institution
  • Current Alberta Teaching Certificate (interim or permanent)
  • Successful teaching experience in grades 5-12
  • Experience in a homeroom environment would be beneficial
  • Experience teaching Advanced Placement or International Baccalaureate would be beneficial for high school positions, but is not required

  • Cover letter, including vision of improving student learning
  • Resume listing specific courses taught and all previous teaching positions
  • Recent performance review
  • Copy of Alberta Teaching Certificate (interim or permanent) - required. Applicants without a teaching certificate will not be considered
  • Successful applicants will be required to provide a recent Criminal Record with Vulnerable Sector Check
