Job summary

Downingtown Area School District seeks a Long-Term Substitute Teacher - Elementary, Grade 2 at Beaver Creek Elementary for the 2026-2027 school year, from November 30, 2026 to June 7, 2027. The role requires PA PK-4 certification and a relevant bachelor's degree.

The teacher will plan, deliver instruction, manage the classroom, and communicate with families while supporting student learning in a collaborative setting.

Qualifications

• Candidate must be a graduate of an accredited college or university.
• Hold PA certification specific to content area Grades PK-4.
• Demonstrates knowledge in the area of assignment.
• Proficiency in use of current technology for instruction and communication.
• Must be able to flex and vary hours to accommodate needs of students, parents, and other teachers.
• Possesses effective interpersonal skills with the ability to interface with teachers, administrators, parents, students, and external organizations.
• Exhibits excellent classroom management skills.
• Demonstrates ability to provide good judgment, planning and human relations skills.
• Must comply with PA Code of Professional Practice and Conduct for Educators and complete background checks.
