Role

Reporting to the Vice President of Operations, the technician is responsible for installing and repairing equipment at the client's site. They are also mandated to provide technical support by phone or email.

Description of Activities and Responsibilities
  • Respond to service calls on the road.
  • Perform repairs in the shop.
  • Be available to periodically perform 24-hour service on-call shifts.
  • Meet with customers to resolve issues.
  • Diagnose technical problems.
  • Replace equipment or return defective parts for repair.
  • Perform tests to ensure equipment is functioning properly.
  • Assist customers in using their new equipment.
  • Prepare necessary materials in the truck as needed.
  • Provide technical support via email or telephone.
  • Calibrate and calibrate machines.
  • Perform maintenance tasks on electronic and mechanical equipment.
  • All other related tasks.
Education
  • College or university diploma in electronics or electrical engineering.
Experience
  • 2 to 5 years of experience in a related field.

  • Knowledge of reading and interpreting mechanical, electrical, and electronic schematics.
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD is an asset.
