Job summary

Octasic is seeking an Electronic Technician to join our production team in Montreal. You will be actively involved in the manufacturing, repair, and validation of electronic products in a high‑tech environment, reporting to the Production Team Lead.

You will troubleshoot boards, document failures, perform functional tests, support quality, and assist in introducing new equipment and processes, leveraging your DEC in electronics and 10+ years of experience.

Qualifications

• DEC in electronics or equivalent.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in a similar role, ideally in a high-tech manufacturing environment.
• Experience with electronic soldering is a plus.
• Good command of Windows environment (batch files, commands, scripts).
• Knowledge of RF testing equipment is an asset.
• Basic knowledge of databases is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and validate electronic circuit boards.
• Identify and document technical and functional product failures.
• Report and document assembly non-conformities.
• Perform functional tests according to work instructions.
• Participate in full product assembly.
• Provide technical support to the quality department.
• Assist in maintaining test stations.
• Suggest improvements to testing procedures and test benches.
• Collaborate on the introduction of new products and equipment.

About The Role
