Job summary

Octasic in Montreal is seeking an Electronic Technician to join our production team. You will participate in manufacturing, repair, and validation of electronic products in a high-tech environment, reporting to the Production Team Lead.

The ideal candidate has a DEC in electronics and at least ten years of relevant experience, with strong soldering skills, familiarity with RF testing equipment, and proficiency in Windows. Bilingual in French and English is preferred.

Qualifications

• DEC in electronics or equivalent.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in a similar high-tech manufacturing role.
• Experience in electronic soldering.
• Good command of Windows environment (batch files, commands, scripts).
• Knowledge of RF testing equipment is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and validate electronic circuit boards.
• Identify and document technical and functional product failures.
• Report and document assembly non-conformities.
• Perform functional tests according to work instructions.
• Participate in full product assembly.
• Provide technical support to the quality department.
• Assist in maintaining test stations.
• Suggest improvements to testing procedures and test benches.
• Collaborate on the introduction of new products and equipment.

About The Role

We are looking for an Electronic Technician to join our production team. Reporting to the Production Team Lead, the successful candidate will be actively involved in the manufacturing, repair, and validation of electronic products in a high-tech manufacturing environment.
