Job summary

CMC Electronics in Montreal, QC seeks an Electronic Products Repairer to lay out and assemble components for avionics systems. You will work from drawings, build brackets and panels, and solder to PC boards, following strict quality criteria.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma and at least two years of relevant experience, plus the ability to interpret technical drawings and use precision hand tools. This is an on-site position in a unionized environment with day shifts.

Qualifications

• Understanding electronics with broad knowledge of electro-mechanical assembly techniques and SMT.
• Ability to read fairly complicated drawings and use measuring instruments.

Responsibilities

• Works from drawings, blueprints, sketches, prescribed instructions, etc.
• Modified miscellaneous brackets, covers, cases, panels, etc. using simple hand and power tools.
• As required, modifies stock items for use as samples.
• Assembles and solders components to PC boards including surface mounted components and removes them by using the repair equipment associated to this task as per the applicable quality criteria.
• Circuit check own work and ensures that all specified work has been completed.
• Proceeds alone with his work referring difficult problems to supervisor for guidance and instructions.
• May instruct one or two wiremen on modification, or assembly or subsequent units.
• Performs any other related tasks as assigned.

As An Electronic Products Repairer, Your Key Responsibilities Include

How To Excel In This Role

• High School Diploma.
• Minimum two (2) years of relevant experience.
