Job description

The maintenance technician position is responsible for performing highly diversified duties to deliver, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain cleaning equipment according to safety, productive maintenance systems, and processes to provide excellent after-sales support.

Responsibilities
  • Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, Diesel, hydraulic, mechanical, electrical, electronics, pneumatic, troubleshooting and repair of cleaning machines
  • Diagnose problems with walk-behind / Ride Scrubbers, Sweepers, Vacuums, and Pressure Washers. Will need to replace or repair parts, test, and make adjustments.
  • Perform regular preventive maintenance on equipment.
  • Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
  • Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, etc.
  • Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas
Requirements
  • Proven experience as Diesel & Hydraulic Technician
  • In-depth knowledge of diesel engines, electrical, electronics, and hydraulic systems
  • In-depth circuit boards and control panels
  • Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods
  • Working knowledge of tools, common appliances and devices
  • Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, Proficient computer skills, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook and Excel)
  • Diploma or Degree in Mechanical, electrical, electronic, or relevant field
  • Experience in diesel and hydraulic is a must.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience
  • A Canadian Driving License is a must. Position Type / Expected Hours of Work

This is a freelance position at the moment with the opportunity of it being FULL-TIME employment at the end of the contract.
