We are currently seeking an Electrician for a full time, permanent job opportunity to join our team in Calgary, Alberta.

Reporting to the Electrical Supervisor, the primary roles and responsibilities of an Industrial Electrician are to install, repair and maintain all electrical equipment while respecting the company’s safety rules and regulations, ultimately creating a safe and orderly workplace. Shift structure consists of 12hr shifts on rotation between days and nights including weekends.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform preventative maintenance on required equipment and scheduled work as required
  • Manage assigned work orders in a timely manner
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical equipment in a manufacturing plant
  • Install, maintain and troubleshoot distribution and control equipment such as switches, relays, circuit breakers and fuse disconnects
  • Work with automated equipment
  • Comprehend and use technical manuals and schematics
  • Organize work area, tools and parts
Qualifications
  • Red Seal Journeyman Electrician designation
  • Previous maintenance experience in an industrial plant / manufacturing setting is an asset
  • Knowledge of Allen Bradley AC Drives, ControlLogix PLC, Relay Logic skills is an asset
  • Knowledge of relevant electrical safety codes
  • Experience with various instrumentation sensors and transmitters
  • Proficient in troubleshooting, diagnosing and testing PLC automated circuit, motors and motor control circuits
  • Must be able to learn computer-based maintenance software
  • Must possess superior analytical and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills are essential
  • Ability to manage time effectively while handling multiple jobs with varying priorities
  • Must be able to work in a team setting with other tradesman
