Job summary

Silver Hills in Abbotsford, BC is seeking an Electrician Journeyman to join a health‑minded team. Read drawings, install and troubleshoot industrial electrical systems, and conduct preventive maintenance to keep production lines running.

You will use your Red Seal certification, strong math and mechanical skills, and proficiency with MS Office to document work and coordinate with maintenance staff. We offer full‑time, permanent roles, competitive wages, overtime, and benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of relevant experience.
• Red Seal certification.
• Strong computer skills including MS Office Suite.
• Excellent mathematical and mechanical skills.
• Great interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written).

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, schematics, and electrical code specifications to determine the layout of industrial electrical equipment installations.
• Troubleshoot, maintain and repair industrial, electrical and electronic control systems and other related devices.
• Conduct preventive maintenance programs and keep maintenance records.
• Install, examine, replace or repair electrical wiring and other electrical components.
• Test electrical and electronic equipment and parts for continuity, current, voltage, and resistance.
• Maintain, repair, install and test switchgear, transformers, electrical motors, industrial storage batteries, and hydraulic and pneumatic, electrical control systems.
