Qualifications

• Must hold Red Seal Industrial Electrician certification.
• 5+ years of experience in a production environment preferred.
• Experience with PLC/Controls/Electronics, PLC Automation Controls.
• Ability to work in a demanding environment with multiple projects and deadlines.
• Critical thinking and problem solving.
• Ability to interact professionally with customers, co-workers and managers.
• Must be a collaborator.
• Tools: basic industrial tool set supplied by candidate; company provides specialty tooling.

Responsibilities

• Ensure proper operation of manufacturing equipment by completing preventive maintenance on motors, drives, PLCs, pumps and production machines.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, technical manuals and drawings.
• Troubleshoot, install, align, dismantle, repair and maintain industrial machinery for improved reliability and uptime.
• Maintain continuity among work teams by documenting actions and ongoing needs.
• Communicate issues and resolutions to Operators, Managers and Peers (directly or via email).
• Own shift handover to oncoming technicians and maintain shift log.

Red Seal Industrial Electrician Job Description

Graphic Packaging International, ULC, located in Winnipeg, Manitoba, currently has an immediate opening for an experienced, Industrial Electrician to join our team. This is a great opportunity for a Red Seal Industrial Electrician to use their troubleshooting, process control/PLC programming and commissioning skills. The position will be active in developing a culture of an incident free workplace, continuous improvement of equipment reliability and reducing costs to support the business success. The plant is a 24/7 operation. Successful applicants must be available to work all shifts including but not limited to, days, afternoons, rotating 12 hours shifts, weekends and statutory holidays. overtime and on-call.

Job Requirements

• Ensures proper operation of manufacturing equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on motors, drives, PLC’s, pumps, pneumatic tools, and production machines, following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, and manufacturer's instructions.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, technical manuals, and drawings.
• Troubleshoot, install, align, dismantle, repair, and maintain industrial machinery, electrical and mechanical equipment for improved reliability and up-time
• Maintains continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
• Work closely with area operators to resolve maintenance related issues with the ability to communicate the issues and resolutions to Operators, Managers and Peers directly or via email.
• Responsible for shift pass down to oncoming technicians.
• Maintain maintenance log and keep it current at the end of each shift.
• Resolve quality and safety issues.
• Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Other duties as assigned and required

Job Requirements/Education

• Must be Red Seal Industrial Electrician
• 5+ years of experience in a production environment preferred
• Experience with PLC/Controls/Electronics, PLC Automaton Controls
• Ability to work in a demanding environment, with multiple projects, while meeting deadlines safely
• Critical thinking
• Ability to interact with customers, co-workers, and managers in a professional manner

• Expected to supply a standard industrial set of tools. The company will supply specialty tooling
