Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Inspect systems ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
  • Assist with emergency situations minimizing downtime.
  • Perform hands-on work including installing wiring.

Job description

As they continue to grow, we’re on the lookout for skilled Industrial Electricians to join their maintenance team. Your Role

As an Industrial Electrician, you will be an integral part of our maintenance department, keeping our equipment running, including machining and shipping. You’ll work with a wide variety of electrical systems, tools, and equipment, troubleshooting and ensuring they meet safety standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Electrical Systems Maintenance: Install, test, and maintain electrical systems and components, ensuring they function efficiently and safely.
  • Problem Solving: Diagnose malfunctions, locate breakdown causes, and resolve issues using both hand tools and advanced test equipment.
  • Safety Compliance: Inspect systems and equipment, ensuring they comply with local codes and safety regulations.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the management team to determine the safety of operations and make improvements where necessary.
  • Technical Support: Assist with emergency situations, including operating generators and providing on-the-spot repairs to minimize downtime.
  • Manual Tasks: Perform hands-on work including running conduit, installing wiring, and lifting heavy objects as needed.

What We’re Looking For
  • 442A/309A AND a certificate of apprenticeship, OR 10 years experience with Canadian Electrical Code
  • Must have your own maintenance tools.
  • Must be able to work 12 hour biweekly rotating shifts, Monday to Friday (no weekends currently)
Skills

  • A proactive, hands-on approach to maintaining and repairing electrical systems.
Experience
  • Proven experience in a manufacturing and industrial setting.
  • A solid understanding of electrical safety standards and troubleshooting methods.
  • If you do NOT have a certificate of qualification, but have a minimum of 10 years or experience with CSA, please apply
