Maple Leaf Foods Inc. is seeking a licensed Electrician for our Mississauga production facility. You will install, diagnose, and repair complex equipment, support preventive maintenance, and optimise performance in a demanding 24/7 environment.

Work from drawings and instructions, and manage PLCs/HMIs while maintaining safety and quality standards. Candidates should have a full set of hand tools, strong teamwork, and the ability to work independently while upholding GMPs, HACCP, and WHMIS

Qualifications

• Electrician licensed with active certificate.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment is an asset.
• Must have a full set of personal/professional hand tools.
• Sense of urgency and attention to detail.
• Ability to work both in a team and independently.
• Safety-conscious and able to perform heavy lifting.

Responsabilités

• Install, troubleshoot, and repair complex production equipment with minimal supervision.
• Enhance equipment performance and implement improvements.
• Read from drawings, written or verbal instructions.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical problems.
• Participate in preventative maintenance.
• Program and repair industrial equipment and automation including PLCs and HMIs.
• Operate production equipment and monitor performance.
• Support 24/7 PM procedures and ensure safety compliance.
• Utilize the computerized maintenance management system.
• Ensure operations comply with GMPs, HACCP, WHMIS and safety requirements.

Hourly Rate: $39.89

Snapshot of a Day-in-the-Life:

• Be able to install, troubleshoot, and repair complex production equipment with minimum supervision
• Enhance equipment performance, recommending improvements and implementing.
• Works from drawings, written or verbal instructions and sketches
• Be able to troubleshoot and identify mechanical/electrical problems
• Participate in preventative maintenance
• Program and repair industrial equipment and automation including PLC’s, HMI and other related devices
• Operate production equipment and check performance as required
• Be strong on PM (preventative maintenance) procedures in a 24 hour/day operation
• Have proficient knowledge in use of computerized maintenance management system.
• Ensure all job-related operations are in compliance with GMPs, HACCP, WHMIS and health & safety requirements.

Qualifications
