Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a qualified Electrician for a vacant manufacturing role. Responsibilities include troubleshooting electrical systems, performing preventive maintenance, and supporting improvements across automated and manual processes. The candidate will read schematics, handle PLCs (Siemens/Allen‑Bradley), and assist in training apprentices as needed. This is an on-site position in a fast-paced plant.

Qualifications

  • Certified Electrician with 442A or 309A certification.
  • 3–5 years of electrician experience in manufacturing.
  • Experience with PLCs, Siemens or Allen-Bradley.
  • Experience with automated and manual manufacturing processes.
  • Strong ability reading schematics and prints.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, repair and maintain electrical systems in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Respond to equipment breakdowns and perform fault diagnosis.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance and minor improvement projects.
  • Support automation and equipment upgrades across stamping, robotics, welders, and pneumatics.
  • Assist in training apprentices as needed.

Job description

Electricians are responsible for safely troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems and equipment in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment. Day to day, this includes responding to equipment breakdowns, performing preventative maintenance, and supporting minor improvement projects across automated and manual processes. The role involves reading and interpreting electrical schematics and prints, basic PLC troubleshooting (Siemens or Allen Bradley), and working with equipment such as stamping presses, robotics, welders, and pneumatic systems. In addition, Electricians support continuous improvement initiatives, maintain strong safety standards, and may assist in building new equipment and training apprentices as needed.

Required Skills and Experience
  • Certified Electrician 442A or 309A
  • 3-5 years Electrician Experience
  • PLC Experience/Exposure, Siemens or Allan Bradley
  • Experience with automated and manual manufacturing processes
  • Strong experience troubleshooting, working with schematics and prints
Nice to Have Skills and Experience
  • Experience with Stamping, Robotics and Pneumatics preferred
