YOUR NEXT CHALLENGE:

Reporting to the Electrical Supervisor, you will ensure the safe and continuous operation of our mine, handling planned and reactive maintenance. Depending on the role, you could work as a Hoist, Mill, Site Infrastructure, or Underground Electrician. You will work to achieve goals while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle’s values, Health & Safety Code of Conduct, and environmental standards.

• Complete work in accordance with Ontario Electrical Safety Code (OESC), CSA-Z462 Standards, standard operating procedures, and best practices.
• Install and terminate 15kv, 5kv, 600-volt power distribution systems.
• Read and interpret drawings, circuit diagrams, and blueprints.
• Conduct preventative maintenance on electrical equipment, recording results and findings.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems such as power distribution, ventilation, communication, and equipment like jumbos, bolters, and diamond drills.
• Implement changes to electrical systems and document modifications.
• Work on daily work orders following instructions.
• Support centralized maintenance team.
• Promote a safe work environment and practice IRS.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED:

• Ability to read and interpret electrical prints.
• Knowledge of CSA/ESA rules and regulations.
• Understanding of lockouts and high-voltage switching.
• Competence with test equipment such as multimeters, insulation testers, and signal generators.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Understanding of PLC systems is an asset.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
