Job description

Description and Responsibilities

• Electrical troubleshooting and repairs, electrical-related upgrades, and installation, as well as utilizing wiring diagrams, drawings, specifications, and instructions covering the scheduled and emergency repair, installation, and inspection of work to be done
• Mechanical troubleshooting and repairs, mechanical-related upgrades, and installation and make mechanical repairs as required in connection with the production and electronic equipment
• Perform routine preventive maintenance and repairs to mechanical, electrical, and control systems
• Planning, requesting quotes, ordering supplies, and equipment
• Performs other duties as they might be assigned

Requirements

• Must possess a valid inter-provincial journeyman electrical certification
• Previous work experience in an industrial manufacturing setting is essential
• Strong mechanical aptitude would be a preferred asset
• Be comfortable working in a fast-paced team team-oriented environment
• Work in an environment subject to fluctuations in heat, humidity, fumes, dust, and noise
• Keep accurate and legible records and maintain a clean and safe work area
• Must have reliable transportation
• Must be able to work shift work, including straight nights
