Responsibilities:

1. Provides emergency/unscheduled repairs of equipment and performs scheduled maintenance repairs.
2. Performs machinist duties and responsibilities.
3. Uses mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic troubleshooting and repair skills.
4. Reads and interprets manuals and work orders for maintenance.
5. Diagnoses issues, replaces or repairs parts, tests, and adjusts.
6. Performs preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and facilities.
7. Utilizes hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment.
8. Detects faulty operations and reports issues to supervision.
9. Maintains safety standards and clean work areas.
10. Completes reports and records as required.
11. Adheres to departmental procedures and systems for maintenance and quality improvement.
12. Keeps up-to-date with technological changes.
13. Maintains electrical components and equipment per codes and departmental procedures.
14. Performs scheduled checks of electrical alarms.
15. Repairs plumbing fixtures, piping, and related equipment.
16. Conducts mechanical and preventive maintenance on equipment.
17. Prepares purchase orders for supplies.

Qualifications:

• Completion of an apprenticeship program or ticketed Millwright/Electrician.
• Licensed journeyman.
• Experience with machinery troubleshooting, disassembly, and repair.
• Ability to interpret blueprints, diagrams, schematics, manuals, and specifications.
• Good communication skills.
