Skretting is seeking a Maintenance Technician (Electrician) to join our team in St. Andrews, New Brunswick.

About the role: This role is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems, preventive maintenance, emergency repairs, also collaborate with other departments and third-party agencies and technicians and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the plant, ensure compliance with safety regulations, standards, and procedures, addressing hazards proactively.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform inspections and preventive maintenance on equipment, machinery, and installations following schedules and checklists.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and repair defects or malfunctions, including emergency and corrective repairs.
  • Execute planned and complex maintenance tasks, sometimes supervising third-party technicians.
  • Order spare parts, materials, or custom-made components as needed for maintenance or repairs.
  • Carry out modifications, overhaul, and propose technical improvements based on expertise.
  • Collaborate with management on quality and technical issues, providing solutions to avoid recurring problems.
  • Log all maintenance activities in maintenance management systems to ensure proper records and equipment history.

Skills and Expertise

Qualifications:

  • Completion of Electrical apprenticeship.
  • Minimum two years’ experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
