Job summary

itec group in Cambridge, Ontario is looking for an experienced Industrial Electrician to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain a range of motors, drives, and PLC-controlled equipment in a stable manufacturing setting.

You will read schematics, work on AC/DC motors, VFDs, and electrical panels, and collaborate with a seasoned maintenance team. A strong hands-on background in manufacturing electrical systems is essential.

Qualifications

• Must hold 442A Industrial Electrician licence or 309A licence with manufacturing experience.
• Experience reading electrical drawings, schematics, and technical documentation.
• Experience troubleshooting PLC-controlled equipment, motor controls, and industrial electrical systems.
• Strong hands-on electrical troubleshooting experience in manufacturing environments.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair industrial electrical equipment, including motors, drives, control systems, and production machinery.
• Perform electrical maintenance on a variety of equipment to minimize downtime and improve reliability.

Daily Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair industrial electrical equipment, including motors, drives, control systems, and production machinery.
• Perform electrical maintenance on a variety of older and newer manufacturing equipment to minimize downtime and improve reliability.
• Troubleshoot PLC-controlled equipment using Allen-Bradley, Siemens, and other industrial control systems.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, PLC logic, and technical manuals.
• Maintain and troubleshoot AC/DC motors, VFDs, electrical panels, and power distribution systems.
• Conduct preventative maintenance, equipment inspections, and scheduled electrical repairs.

Mandatory Requirements

• Valid 442A Industrial Electrician licence or 309A Construction and Maintenance Electrician licence with industrial manufacturing experience.
• Strong hands‑on electrical troubleshooting experience within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Experience troubleshooting PLC‑controlled equipment, motor controls, VFDs, and industrial electrical systems.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and technical documentation.

Salary Range: $45 per hour

Shift: Continental Day/Night
