Join a leading organization in the Oil and Gas industry as an Oversight Electrical Engineer, where your expertise in power distribution systems will drive impactful projects in Calgary, AB.

Role Overview

• Manage relationships and contracts with Engineering Services Providers (ESP).
• Lead design review processes ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and standards.
• Specify and requisition materials, evaluating vendor quotations and providing recommendations.
• Support planning and scheduling during design and procurement phases.
• Provide technical support throughout all project phases including development, design, construction, and commissioning.
• Oversee incorporation of red‑line markups into as‑built drawings.
• Assist in developing project scope, schedule, capital cost estimates, and risk assessments.
• Support Operations with incident investigations post‑project handover.
• Incorporate lessons learned from past projects into future designs.

Skills & Qualifications

• Design Review: Expertise in reviewing power distribution system designs.
• Power Distribution: Proficient in designing systems for Oil and Gas facilities.
• Control Schematics: Hands‑on experience analyzing control schematics for power equipment.
• Technical Evaluation: Ability to evaluate technical bids based on merit, price, and delivery.
• Regulatory Knowledge: Strong understanding of national codes (CEC, NEC) and industry standards (API, IEEE, UL).
