Job summary

Globotech is seeking a Subject Matter Expert- Electrical to support ongoing projects at the Tiverton, Ontario location. Local or relocation to the area is preferred, or travel on an as-needed basis.

Qualified candidates will hold a 4-year Electrical Engineering degree and have experience in nuclear power or large industrial facilities. Expertise includes protective relaying, coordination studies, power distribution, large transformers, switchyard, and rotating equipment.

Qualifications

• Completion of a 4-year University degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Experience in nuclear power generation, utility operations, or large industrial facilities.
• Expertise in protective relaying, coordination studies, power distribution systems, large transformers, switchyard, and rotating equipment.

Responsibilities

• Support Project Engineering Lead and Project Manager with technical consultancy in Protective relays, coordination studies, power distribution, large transformers, switchyard, and rotating equipment during planning, installation and commissioning phases.
• Provide technical input to the project team throughout the duration of the project.
• Collaborate with all project team members to ensure alignment and coordination at all levels.
• Contribute to updating project schedules based on progress within an integrated team environment.
• Make recommendations to project manager/team for corrective actions to meet planned performance.
• Assist in scoping, planning and implementing projects within the work program.
• Facilitate development of detailed work plans and installation methods while maintaining safety within a nuclear facility.
• Prepare reports to provide information and data to internal and external stakeholders.
