EllisDon carved out a new national construction group in 2021 with a focus on the construction of technical buildings such as Laboratories, Pharmaceutical Manufacturing facilities and Data Centers. We have completed over $2.5B in Data Centre projects and $16B in Life Sciences and Pharmaceutical buildings, we are strategically focused on the increased activity in these technical buildings post pandemic. Within a year of inception, we have a successful backlog of over $500M and have secured projects across Canada.

This is an incredible opportunity to be a Senior Project Manager for this new national construction group at EllisDon.

You as a Electrical Project Manager, Life Sciences and Technology will :

• Provide overall construction management from pre-construction to completion including design, coordination, budget, and schedule in conjunction with the Superintendent
• Prepare regular, timely and accurate billings for Owners, and ensure timely payment of subcontractor billings.
• Meet with Owners, Architects and other Stakeholders in a professional manner and have the ability to communicate effectively both the concerns and best interests of the company
• Monitor, interpret and forecast a project’s cost reports ensuring they are in line with the estimate and maintain a positive cash flow
• Submit project reports to Area Manager and communicate with management about project progress and areas of risk that need to be escalated

Is this the right role for you?

• You have an Engineering degree and 5+ years of construction experience
• You have experience in engineering, design build / construction management delivery models / contracts
• You have a working knowledge of construction scopes and activities, scheduling, project management and contract software
• You have the ability to confidently mentor and delegate to a large team while developing and maintaining strong client relations
• This project is located in Port Colborne, ON
