Job description

We currently have exciting opportunities within our Pulp & Paper Division operations for Electrical Engineering Students to join our teams in Saint John and Lake Utopia, New Brunswick, for the Winter 2026 Work Term.

Responsibilities
  • Working with contractors and mill personnel to determine the scope, planning and execution of work packages for mill operations.
  • Development of detailed scopes of work for installations related to scan card access systems, 120 V – 600 V temporary construction power, IT connections, including wireless access points, switches, and cameras.
  • Work with software such as AutoCAD, PowerPoint, Excel, and other Document Management Software
  • Oversee installations of low to medium voltage electrical equipment, building services components, instrumentation, etc., while ensuring schedule and budget are maintained and monitoring job quality and safety.
  • Assist Systems Engineers on maintenance, programming, and configuration of Mill Control Systems
  • Working with the reliability team to perform root cause failure analysis on mill equipment, as well as reviewing and optimizing the preventive maintenance program.
