Overview

Job Title: Electrical Engineering Manager (Burlington)  |  Job ID: 83642  |  Location: Burlington, Ontario

A leading provider of automated test systems and test fixtures is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineering Manager to lead its Electrical Integration team. This role focuses on managing a team of engineers and technicians who design and deliver complex test systems for industries such as automotive, aerospace, medical, industrial, and networking. As the Electrical Engineering Manager, you will oversee the successful execution of electrical system design and integration across projects. You’ll collaborate with mechanical and software teams to ensure high-quality, on-time delivery of test solutions.

What you will be doing
  • Lead and mentor a team of 10–12 engineers and technicians across multiple locations
  • Oversee electrical system design, review, and approval processes
  • Balance team resources across projects and manage task assignments
  • Support quoting and planning for new projects
  • Develop and implement best practices for quality, tools, and process improvement
  • Provide technical and personnel leadership, including hiring and training
  • Communicate project and staffing updates to senior leadership
What you must have
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience
  • 10+ years of relevant experience, including at least 3 years in a leadership role
  • Strong background in functional test systems and electronic circuit theory
  • Experience managing geographically distributed teams
  • Proficient with test and measurement equipment, CAD tools, and Microsoft Office
  • Strong project management and communication skills
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001, NIST 800-171, or similar compliance standards
  • Willingness to travel up to 10%

Salary/Rate Range: $110,000 – $150,000, plus performance-based bonus
