Join our Buildings M&E Team in Ottawa, where you’ll help shape the electrical systems that power the places where people work, learn, heal, and connect. You’ll bring forward smart, resilient, and future-focused electrical engineering solutions on projects that have lasting impact in our communities.

Your Impact

• Design high‑performance electrical building systems, including power distribution, emergency power, UPS, lightning protection, grounding, fire detection, voice alarm, PA, telecommunications, security infrastructure, lighting, lighting controls, and site service systems.
• Prepare detailed technical specifications that ensure code compliance, constructability, and clarity for project teams and contractors.
• Develop high-quality AutoCAD drawings and Revit 3D models to communicate design intent and support integrated delivery.
• Apply Electrical Engineering requirements, OBC, Canadian Electrical Code, Ontario Electrical Safety Code, IEEE standards, and related regulatory frameworks.
• Conduct site investigations and perform construction review to assess existing conditions, validate installations, and ensure adherence to design documents and OBC general review requirements.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to shape coordinated solutions and articulate the value of electrical design decisions.
• Contribute as a key team member—leading aspects of design while supporting discipline leads and mentoring others when needed.

The Skills That Set You Apart

• You are a licensed Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in Ontario, bringing a minimum of seven years of hands‑on electrical design experience on complex building projects.
• You’ve delivered electrical systems for major institutional, healthcare, transportation, and industrial facilities, including power distribution, lighting, life safety, BAS, security, IT, and communications systems.
• You excel in both AutoCAD and Revit MEP 3D, and you use digital tools to improve quality and integration.
• You bring experience working within delivery models such as CM, DB, and P3, understanding their unique constraints and collaboration needs.
• You confidently deliver design packages independently, manage priorities, and meet project deadlines with precision.
• You apply deep working knowledge of the Canadian Electrical Code, Ontario Electrical Safety Code, National Building Code of Canada, Ontario Building Code, ASHRAE standards, and LEED v4.
• You thrive in integrated team environments, approaching challenges with practical problem‑solving and a mindset geared toward innovation and impact.
• Eligible for Reliability clearance

Compensation

• AB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YT: $98,800 – $130,800
• MB & ON: $90,100 – $124,100
• NB, NL, NS, PEI & QC: $89,200 – $118,500
