Job summary

Brock Solutions Inc. in Vancouver, BC is seeking an Electrical Engineer to design, integrate, troubleshoot, and support automated control systems for industrial environments, focusing on power distribution, MCPs, and control system design.

You will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, develop documentation, and ensure compliance with NEC/CEC, while traveling as needed and contributing to a collaborative, employee-owned culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or College Technology Diploma with hands-on electrical design experience.
• Expertise in electrical control systems design, including low-voltage power systems and PLC control.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD with a solid understanding of electrical drawings and best practices.
• Familiarity with NEC and CEC electrical codes and standards.
• Collaborative, team-oriented mindset with the ability to engage with installation contractors and end customers.
• Travel flexibility for site visits and project implementation.

Responsibilities

• Innovative System Design: Develop and implement electrical system designs, including power distribution (24 VDC, 120 VAC, 480 VAC), motor control systems, and control system design.
• High-Impact Projects: Lead the design of motor control panels (MCP), power systems, and single-line drawings.
• Collaborative Engineering: Work with interdisciplinary teams to create functional specifications, network system architecture, and field installation drawings.
• Documentation Excellence: Prepare accurate documentation, including catalog cuts, phasing plans, as-built documents, and RFIs.
• Hands-On Design & Support: Provide technical support to installation contractors and ensure systems meet specifications and codes.
• Continuous Improvement: Stay at the forefront of electrical design trends and best practices.
