An exciting opportunity is available for a skilled and motivated Electrical Engineer to join a growing engineering team in Winnipeg, Manitoba. This role is ideal for a professional with a strong background in building systems design who’s ready to take on a dynamic role involving technical design, project coordination, and client interaction across a wide variety of projects.

This position has opened due to growth, as new projects continue to come in. The team is expanding and looking for a dedicated engineer to help support the increasing workload and contribute to innovative design solutions across sectors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the electrical design of building systems including lighting, power distribution, life safety, emergency power, fire alarm, security, and communication systems.
  • Prepare system concept reports, load calculations, schematics, and equipment selection.
  • Develop and review construction documentation in Revit and AutoCAD.
  • Manage electrical project deliverables and coordinate with architectural, structural, and mechanical disciplines.
  • Respond to contractor inquiries and provide technical guidance during all project phases.
  • Oversee quality assurance and ensure timely delivery of project outputs.
  • Support proposal development, resource planning, and client relationship building.
  • Contribute to the mentorship of junior team members and foster a collaborative work environment.
What You Bring
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical engineering and / or design coordination within the building consulting industry (e.g., residential, commercial, institutional).
  • Professional Engineering designation (P.Eng) required.
  • Proficiency in developing construction documents using Revit and AutoCAD.
  • Strong knowledge of Canadian Electrical Code (CEC) and National Building Code of Canada (NBCC).
  • Experience in project management and working in multidisciplinary team environments.
  • Familiarity with the bid and tendering process is an asset.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, and the ability to work with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
