We design connected, sustainable solutions that integrate existing infrastructure with new technologies, and optimize the mobility of people and goods.

Role accountabilities
  • Support Management and Senior Engineers in the development and administration of Roadway Lighting systems contracts.
  • Make changes or revisions to existing and new drawings using CADD software.
  • Work with the design team in preparing conceptual and detailed design layouts and detailed drawings for various projects.
  • Utilize CADD (AutoCAD and MicroStation) software to prepare preliminary electrical layout design and detail drawings for a wide range of infrastructure projects (including layout plans, detail design, wiring schematics, equipment summary tables and charts, cross‑section and elevation drawings).
  • Coordinate drawings with other disciplines, and team members, and coordinate drawing filling systems.
  • Coordinate design teams, contractors and clients.
  • Review construction documents and resolve technical and design issues.
  • Conduct site inspections as necessary to monitor progress and confirm compliance with contract documents.
  • Prepare and maintain project documentation (meeting minutes, RFIs, contemplated change orders, etc.).
Qualifications & Experience
  • Electrical Engineering Degree.
  • Up to 3 years of related CADD Design experience and/or Contract Administration experience.
  • Advanced skills using both AutoCAD and MicroStation and drafting experience.
  • Good computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft suite of products – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project – are expected; Microsoft Visio skills are an asset.
  • Local travel should be anticipated. A valid Ontario “G” license with access to reliable transportation is an asset.
