  • Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation or eligibility for P.Eng. registration in Alberta (APEGA).
  • 5–10 years’ experience designing or supporting medium/high voltage electrical equipment in oil & gas, utilities, mining, or manufacturing.
  • Strong analytical skills, including load flow, voltage regulation, harmonics, protective relay coordination, and power system modeling.
  • Experience in project management and oversight of third‑party engineering firms.
  • Familiarity with ERCOT and/or SPP grid design, operation, and capabilities.
  • Experience with electrical software modeling tools (e.g., Milsoft WindMil, ACSELERATOR, PSCAD, ETAP, SKM Power Tools).
  • Understanding of microgrids, cogeneration, and renewable energy sources.
  • Field-based construction and/or operations experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of Permian oil & gas operations is a plus.
