Job description

Steelhaus Technologies is seeking an Electrical Engineer (Contractor) to support an ongoing project on a contract basis. This role is expected to require approximately 800 hours of work over the duration of the contract. The successful candidate will apply their technical expertise in electrical engineering to deliver high-quality solutions, collaborate with internal teams, and ensure project milestones are met.

Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and optimize electronic circuits and hardware systems for various applications
  • Collaborate with software and firmware teams to integrate hardware and software seamlessly
  • Conduct feasibility studies and evaluate component and system-level performance to meet design specifications
  • Lead the prototyping, testing, and validation of electronic systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical challenges during the design and development process
  • Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies to ensure project success
  • Document designs, processes, and test results to facilitate knowledge sharing and product certification
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience designing and developing electronic devices and systems
  • Strong knowledge of analog and digital circuit design, including PCB layout and simulation tools (e.g., Altium, Eagle, SPICE)
  • Proficiency in using electronic test equipment such as oscilloscopes, signal generators, and spectrum analyzers
  • Experience in embedded systems design and programming (e.g., C/C++, Python) is a plus
  • Familiarity with regulatory and certification requirements for electronic devices (e.g., FCC, CE, ISO)
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or within a team
  • Strong communication skills to articulate technical concepts to stakeholders
