Job summary

Phasor Engineering Inc. in Burnaby, BC, seeks an Electrical EIT to join our multidisciplinary team. The role supports engineers in developing substation drawings, performing calculations, and contributing to electrical studies.

Candidate should have a Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering and be eligible for EIT registration with EGBC. We value motivated, team‑oriented individuals with strong communication and writing skills able to handle multiple tasks and deadlines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering and be eligible to register as an EIT with EGBC.
• Substation design experience is an advantage.

• Strong report writing and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assisting intermediate/senior engineers to produce drawings including substation layouts, sections, single line diagrams, three line diagrams, schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Performing engineering calculations.
• Applying engineering software to complete tasks such as ground grid design, relay coordination, and electrical studies.
• Undertaking site visits.
• Writing reports and engineering documents.

Phasor Engineering Inc. is a multi-disciplinary engineering consulting company. We provide engineering services from concept design through to construction, panel fabrication, and commissioning services for utility companies, industrial companies and municipalities.

Phasor Engineering currently has an opening for an Electrical EIT position in its Burnaby office. This is a staff position and we offer an excellent benefit and very competitive salary package.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering and be eligible to register as an EIT with EGBC. The successful candidate will be directly supervised by a professional engineer (P.Eng.) registered in BC.
• Previous substation design work experience is an advantage.
• Self-motivated and driven. Able to undertake multiple assignments at once while managing your own time to meet project deadlines.
• Positive attitude and a team player.
• Ability to learn quickly and enjoys adapting to varying tasks.
• A strong communicator with good report writing skills.

• Performing engineering calculations.
• Applying engineering software to complete engineering tasks such as ground grid design, relay coordination, and electrical studies.
• Undertaking site visits.
• Writing reports and engineering documents.

Salary range: $60,000-$105,000
