Job summary

SCIEX, a Danaher operating company, seeks an Intermediate Electrical Designer/Engineer to design electrical hardware and support integration within the Mass Spec Hardware Development team in Concord, Ontario. This on-site role collaborates with senior designers to grow hardware development skills in a leading R&D environment.

You will create designs, run analyses, and help qualify hardware while ensuring cost, schedule and reliability objectives are met, with opportunities for bonus and career

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or Applied Science (or equivalent); Master’s degree is an asset.
• Minimum 3 years of analog, digital and switched mode power supplies design experience.
• Experience with schematic entry tools (Viewdraw, Orcad).
• Hands-on PCB testing/troubleshooting and use of electronics lab equipment (protocol/logic analyzers, oscilloscopes).
• Proficiency with analog simulation and calculation software.

Responsibilities

• Create and implement designs, develop design specs, and perform analyses to demonstrate design compliance.
• Collaborate with engineering to generate/validate concepts and technologies for current/future products.
• Develop and execute hardware qualification and functional test plans to ensure performance, stability, and reliability.
• Assist with build, test, troubleshooting, and integration of electronic modules and subsystems and summarize results.
