Job summary

Regal Rexnord's Thomson Power Systems division in Langley, BC is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to join the ATS Engineering team. You'll design and support automatic transfer switches, control panels, and related power system solutions for critical infrastructure.

This hands-on role covers requirements definition, electrical design, controls integration, production support, and certification/testing.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
3–5 years of electrical design experience.
Experience with control panels, switchgear, MCCs, or industrial controls.
Proficiency with AutoCAD; AutoCAD Electrical preferred.
Strong written and verbal communication in English.

Responsibilities

Design and release electrical control panels and power systems for ATS and related products.
Develop schematics, wiring diagrams, BOMs, and production-ready design packages.
Review customer specs, single-line diagrams, datasheets, and requirements.
Develop, configure, and troubleshoot ATS control logic.
Support new product development from concept to launch.
Collaborate with manufacturing, production, sales, and service teams to resolve issues.
Support testing, root-cause analysis, and certification activities.
Contribute to standardization, reliability, and cost reduction initiatives.
