  • Electrical and Control Design Engineer
  • Working day: Monday – Friday
  • Working Hour: 8:30am - 5:30pm
  • Salary range: $4,000 - $5,500
  • Location: Woodlands Ave (Nearest mrt: Admiralty)
Job Summary

The Electrical Controls Design Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing control systems for various electrical machines.

Responsibilities
  • Design and develop machines control systems, with motion controller, robot, PLCs, HMIs, and servo drives.
  • Create detailed electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and layout drawings.
  • Program and configure control systems to meet specific project requirements.
  • Source and select control components based on project specifications.
  • Execute control system setup, including IO system configuration, servo and step drive setup, and axis tuning. Ensure the proper functioning and integration of control components.
  • Conduct testing, debugging, and troubleshooting of control systems.
  • Collaborate with mechanical engineers, software developers, and other stakeholders to integrate control systems into larger machinery.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant safety standards and regulations.
  • Provide technical support and training to manufacturing and maintenance teams.
  • Participate in project planning, including cost estimation, scheduling, and resource allocation.
  • Maintain detailed documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to continuously improve control system designs.
Requirements
  • Diploma or bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
  • Min 4 years of experience in designing and implementing control systems for electrical machines.
  • Proficiency in programming PLCs, HMIs, and motor drives.
  • Experience with CAD software for electrical design (e.g., AutoCAD Electrical, E3, EPLAN).
  • Strong knowledge of control theory, electrical circuits, and automation.
  • Familiarity with industry standards and regulations (e.g., IEC, IEEE, NEC).
