Job summary

A prominent automotive supplier is seeking an EHS Specialist to manage its Environmental, Health, and Safety Program across multiple locations in Ontario. The role includes monitoring compliance with legislation, providing necessary training, and interacting with regulatory bodies. Ideal candidates will have a degree in Industrial Hygiene or related fields, and skills in project management and communication. The EHS Specialist will ensure the effectiveness of safety programs and facilitate operational improvements.

Qualifications

• University degree or diploma relevant to Environmental, Health and Safety.
• Certification as a trainer or auditor for ISO is an asset.
• Solid understanding of health and safety legislation.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and improve the Environmental Management System.
• Participate on Joint Occupational Health & Safety Committee.
• Provide guidance on Environmental, Health and Safety issues.
