What is the Opportunity?

From fabrication and modularization to new builds, turnaround and maintenance, Aecon Industrial leads the way in industrial construction and water infrastructure, providing clients in Canada and the U.S. with vertically integrated solutions and exceptional self‑perform work.

Reporting to the EHS Manager, the EHS Administrator will support the Industrial group with various projects. This role may be in‑office or on a project site (rotational fly‑in/fly‑out schedule) - details will be confirmed during interview process. This is a contract position for either 6/12 months.

What You’ll Do Here
  • Operational support and resource for the Health and Safety team.
  • Ensure project safety documentation is uploaded into assigned SharePoints and files, which will be maintained in an accessible manner for auditing purposes.
  • Organize, monitor and manage the statistical reporting and compiling processes for submission of weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly statistical data and reports for both corporate roll up and site tracking and trending.
  • Continuous updates and revisions to existing reporting processes and methods.
  • Assist Health and Safety personnel in meeting the requirements and deadlines for reporting.
  • Provide regular feedback to the Health and Safety Director on the activities, submission status of site safety inspections, etc. to identify any areas needing improvement within the projects or work groups.
  • Assist in any start up for new work areas or projects, including providing all the necessary templates and documentation that will be required for reporting and program maintenance purposes.
  • Assist all new advisors and supervisors in complying with the reporting and tracking processes.

What You Bring to the Team
  • At least two (2) years’ experience working in an administrative role in the construction industry (health and safety experience is preferred).
  • Safety related post‑secondary education is considered an asset.
  • Experience working with PowerBI, SiteDocs, Cority, ISN, and an Accident/Incident Management System would all be considered an asset.
  • Advanced knowledge working with Excel, Word and Outlook is required.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills including experience in preparing reports. Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills are required.
  • Ability to be self‑motivated and work effectively with minimal direction.
  • Effective organizational skills to meet multiple deadlines and handle multiple tasks in a high‑pressure work environment.
  • Collaborative team approach and ability to build successful working relationships with clients and project teams.
