Job summary

Kitchen Stuff Plus Inc. in Toronto seeks a Sales Associate to join our retail team and deliver a welcoming shopping experience with our customers. You will engage customers, support store operations, and help maintain an inviting environment in-store and online.

Responsibilities include sales, cash handling, stock replenishment, shipping/receiving, and adherence to safety policies. Flexibility for extended days, evenings and weekends is expected.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience preferred.
• Ability to learn store systems quickly.
• Comfort with cash handling and operating POS.
• Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends.

• Build customer relationships by providing exceptional customer service.

• Resolve and respond to customer matters as required.
• Maintain knowledge of product selection, location, features and benefits, and in-store promotions and marketing initiatives.
• Work with team members to achieve store goals.
• Complete cash transactions.
• Perform basic shipping and receiving procedures.
• Adhere to Health and Safety Policy and Program.
• Perform other directives as assigned.

Location: Retail Store

Reports to: Store Manager, Assistant Manager, Shift Leader

As a Sales Associate you are an integral part of your store's team in the areas of customer service, sales, store maintenance, cash procedures, replenishment, and safety. You will be a member of a team of dedicated people committed to creating a welcoming and friendly atmosphere for customers.

Stuff you’ll do:

• Act as a Kitchen Stuff Plus ambassador by professionally representing the store and the company
• Build customer relationships by proving exceptional customer service
• Follow the 5 Non‑Negotiables of Productivity
• Resolve and escape customer matters as required

• Maintain knowledge of product selection, location, features and benefits, and in‑store promotions and marketing initiatives

• Work in partnership with team members to achieve store goals
• Complete cash transactions

• Perform basic shipping and receiving procedures
• Adhere to KSP’s Health and Safety Policy and Program

• Perform other directives as assigned

Stuff we need from you:

• Computer skills; ability to learn technological systems with ease
• Lift up to 40lbs
• Ladder use up to 10 feet
• Stand/walk for 8 hours

• Flexibility in scheduling including extended days, evenings and weekends
• Work additional shifts during peak holiday season
