Job summary

Northern Lights Public Schools invites applications for an Educational Assistant position at Cold Lake High School and Cold Lake Junior High School in Alberta. This full-time 1.0 FTE role involves supporting student programs, social and behavior skills, self-help and personal care needs, and will be split evenly between the two Cold Lake campuses.

Qualifications

Post-secondary training or EA experience is preferred.
Knowledge of behavioral strategies is preferred.
Experience with Complex students is preferred.
Experience working one-on-one and in groups is preferred.
Knowledge of documentation procedures and proficiency with computers is preferred.
Knowledge and experience with alternate communication strategies is preferred.
Experience assisting students with self-help and personal care needs is preferred.
Familiarity with Individual Program Plans is preferred.

Responsibilities

Assist with student educational program needs including social skills, behaviour skills, self-help and personal care needs.
This assignment will be split with equal time at both Cold Lake High School and Cold Lake Junior High School.
Collaborate with teachers and educational staff to support student learning and well-being.
