Job summary

District School Board Ontario North East is seeking an Educational Assistant at Central Public School. The 1.0 FTE (32.5 hours/week) position is temporary, starting as soon as possible and ending June 25, 2027 or when the absent employee returns.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in Educational Assistant, Early Childhood Education, Developmental Services Worker, or related field, and/or equivalent.
• Demonstrated experience working with students with special education needs of varying ages, preferably in a school setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide classroom support to students based on their individual academic, social, emotional, behavioural, and physical needs.
• Help students access the curriculum and reach their full potential in both integrated and high support settings.
