Job summary

Shaunavon Public School, part of Chinook School Division, invites applications for an Educational Assistant - ELIS. This temporary 0.50 FTE position (three hours per day) supports students in both one-to-one and classroom settings.

Competitive pay range is $20.16 to $26.34 per hour. Start date as soon as possible with End Date June 24, 2027; candidates should have Educational Assistant certification or relevant experience and a commitment to inclusive education.

Qualifications

• Educational Assistant certification or relevant experience.
• Ability to work with students in one-on-one and classroom setting.
• Experience or ability to work with young children.
• Strong interpersonal and relationship skills, and an ability to work in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with a student's educational program
• Ability to work as a team member in a fast-paced student-centered environment
• Willingness to meet the health and hygiene needs of children as required
• May involve some lifts and transfers
• Other duties as assigned
