Job summary

Mint Health + Drugs – Castledowns in Edmonton, AB is seeking a Licensed Pharmacy Manager to lead a team and oversee daily operations while ensuring regulatory compliance and high-quality patient care.

You will manage dispensing, prescriptions review, patient education, inventory control, and financial performance to support community health goals and store success.

Qualifications

  • Pharmacy degree and active ACP license in Alberta.
  • ISTM certification or plan to obtain within 1 year.
  • CPR certification valid in Alberta.
  • Any additional credentials (APA) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and dispense drugs.
  • Assess new and repeat prescriptions for accuracy.
  • Apply medication management principles consistently.
  • Educate patients on medication use.
  • Monitor patient progress and outcomes.
  • Document and maintain accurate records.
  • Oversee and mentor pharmacy staff.
  • Promote healthy living and immunization programs.
  • Handle customer concerns and communicate with health professionals.
  • Oversee operational and financial performance of the pharmacy.

Position: Licensed Pharmacy Manager

Pay: $55-$65 Hourly

Education & Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy Degree
  • ACP license in good standing
  • ISTM required, or commitment to obtaining ISTM within one year is required
  • APA preferred
  • Current CPR Certification valid in Alberta
  • Authorization to Administer Drugs by Injection preferred

Experience & Skills

  • Minimum 1 years of experience within retail pharmacy is preferred
  • Minimum 1 years of experience of leadership experience is preferred
  • Strong organizational and operational oversight skills
  • Expertise in medication management and patient care
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Skilled in staff supervision and performance evaluation
  • Proficient in managing pharmacy inventory and financials
  • Knowledge of the Dayforce system is an asset
  • Ability to implement and adhere to regulatory compliance
  • Experience in pharmacy management and leadership is an asset
