Job summary

Qualifications

• A Bachelor of Laws (LLB) or Juris Doctor (JD).
• Active membership or immediate eligibility for membership with the Law Society of Alberta.
• Legal work experience across Crown Prosecutor levels.

Responsibilities

• Assess public interest and determine charges.
• Proceed with bail, screening, and case resolution decisions; manage prosecutions.
• Draft legal opinions/briefings and court documents; handle victims and witnesses.
• Prepare for trial; conduct examinations and negotiations as needed.
