Job summary

Qualcomm Canada ULC seeks a Machine Learning Engineer to join the AI Processor Solutions team. You will develop AI applications for Snapdragon platforms, focusing on computer vision, multimodal AI, and edge deployment across mobile, edge, XR, and IoT devices.

The role requires strong ML fundamentals, experience with PyTorch or TensorFlow, and Python/C++ software development. Collaboration across hardware and software teams is essential to balance performance and power for real-world use.

Qualifications

Strong background in machine learning algorithms, computer vision, multimodal AI, agentic AI, or related fields.
Proficiency with modern machine learning frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow.
Passion for innovation and for building efficient AI solutions on edge devices.
Strong software development skills in Python and/or C++.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a cross-functional environment.

Responsibilities

Stay current with advances in AI, ML, and foundation models.
Research, develop, and optimize AI algorithms for deployment on Snapdragon platforms.
Design and build reference applications showcasing Snapdragon AI capabilities across devices.
Evaluate hardware-software trade-offs to balance performance and power efficiency.
Support implementation, optimization, and commercialization of AI algorithms on Snapdragon devices.
